Understanding RVA’s role

Our project work has included reviewing school conditions, identifying needs, making recommendations and delivering teacher professional development.

Schools put their own improvements into practice; RVA contributed reviews, recommendations and training. RVA did not fund or physically implement improvements in the school-review projects described here.

Joan Atkinson College of Teacher Education, Rawalpindi

Year: 2018

Activity: 21st Century Teacher Training Diploma, delivered live online via Skype.

RVA delivered the programme to teacher-training degree students at Joan Atkinson College of Teacher Education. The CPD complemented their degree studies; it was not part of the degree and did not replace it.

This project documents teacher professional development in a college setting, with the degree and CPD kept clearly distinct.

Government Girls Middle School, Sir Sydean, AJ&K

Year: 2020

Activity: School review, recommendations and 21st Century Teacher Training via Zoom.

RVA reviewed school conditions, identified needs and made recommendations alongside teacher training. Before-and-after follow-up was documented.

The school implemented the recommendations. RVA’s contribution was review, recommendations and professional development—not funding the improvements.

Government High School Huller, Bagh, AJ&K

Year: 2020

Activity: School review, recommendations and 21st Century Teacher Training via Zoom.

RVA’s work included reviewing conditions and recommending improvements, followed by documented before-and-after follow-up. The recommendations included washroom and first-aid provision.

RVA’s contribution was the review, recommendations and teacher training, not the funding or installation of facilities.

PSRD School, Lahore

Year: 2021

Activity: 21st Century Teacher Training and SEND training, delivered live online via Zoom.

Participants included the Principal, Assistant Principal and teachers. RVA was recommended to PSRD and delivered professional-development training.

This was a teacher-training engagement, not a formal institutional partnership.

Dare-to-Care Center of Special Education, Bagh, AJ&K

Year: 2021

Activity: School review and recommendations, 21st Century Teacher Training and Special Education training.

At the time of the project, the centre was a very small school operating from one room. RVA followed the review-and-recommendation approach used in its other AJ&K school-improvement work, alongside teacher training.

The description records the setting at that time; it does not imply that its current facilities or scale remain unchanged.

What you can learn from these projects

The projects document RVA’s involvement in teacher professional development and school-review work across different educational settings. They identify where and when the activity took place and distinguish training and recommendations from the school’s own implementation.

These historical examples explain RVA’s role; they do not guarantee the same results in another setting. Contact RVA to discuss the needs of your school.
