Start with a clear question

Parents may want to understand learning at home, communicate more clearly with educators or explore a structured adult-learning programme.

Tell RVA what you want to learn and the type of guidance you are seeking. An initial enquiry helps establish whether the academy’s educational offer is appropriate before you commit to a programme.

A whole-learner perspective

A holistic approach considers more than academic results alone. It invites parents and educators to think about understanding, attitudes, practical participation and the learning environment.

RVA’s frameworks were created and developed by Asjad Sheikh:

  • Tricycle Model: Cognitive, Affective and Psychomotor development.
  • 3A’s Framework: Atmosphere, Attitude and Action.
  • Wall of Knowledge: awareness and reflection on learning.

These are educational frameworks—not clinical assessments, diagnostic tools or promises of a particular outcome for a child.

Reflecting on learning at home

A useful starting point is to listen to the learner and discuss what is understandable, what is difficult and what support might help.

You might begin with questions such as:

  • Which part of the activity feels clear or unclear?
  • What does the learner say about the experience?
  • Are instructions, materials and the learning space accessible?
  • What small, appropriate adjustment could be reviewed?

These are general questions for reflection, not personalised advice. Ask RVA about the current course outline if you are looking for structured training.

Working with your child’s educators

Parents and teachers may notice different aspects of a learner’s experience. Share relevant questions and agree practical next steps through the school’s appropriate communication channels.

Keep discussion respectful and focused. Avoid sending sensitive learner documents in an initial public website enquiry. The academy’s parent-support offer does not replace school procedures or safeguarding responsibilities.

Family Learning & Homeschooling programme

For parents seeking a structured adult CPD programme, explore Family Learning & Homeschooling.

The programme lasts four months and is delivered live online. A bachelor’s degree is required; previous teaching experience is not. Detailed timetable, assessment, attendance, CPD Credits and Pakistan fee information are on the dedicated course page.

This is not an online school or a GCSE provider, and completing it does not authorise homeschooling arrangements. Families must check the applicable requirements in their country or jurisdiction.

Training is not a clinical service

RVA’s parent training and support is educational. It is not counselling, diagnosis, therapy or emergency care.

Where a concern requires clinical, specialist or safeguarding support, use the appropriate qualified service or local authority. Do not assume an educational framework can assess or treat a child’s condition.

Questions parents may ask

Is this the same as the homeschooling course?

No. This page introduces broader parent training and support. The Family Learning & Homeschooling programme has its own course page and entry requirements.

Do all parents qualify for the programme?

No. Family Learning & Homeschooling requires a bachelor’s degree. Teaching experience is not required. Contact RVA about eligibility before registering.

Does RVA enrol children into an online school?

No. The named programme is adult CPD, not an online school or GCSE provider.

Can parents in India, UAE and Bangladesh enquire?

Yes. Contact RVA to discuss the educational offer, eligibility and class times. Payment arrangements are being finalised; request country-specific guidance rather than assuming Pakistan’s PKR process applies.
